Welcome to Russian National Orchestra
Bay Island, Newport Beach, Summer 2005
I would like to welcome our guests from Russia
It is probably not often they have to take an electric boat to get on stage.
On behalf of our City - - I would to tell you a little bit about Newport Beach. We are almost 100 years old. Not me - - - the City. What defines our community is the Bay and the Pacific Ocean. You can see the natural beauty. It provides recreational opportunities...
Boat on it
Surf on it
Swim in it
And some of us just like to sit and watch it. It is our own special open space. And tonight it provides a backdrop second to none for this magnificent Orchestra.
At this place, At this moment in time.
The coming together, the confluence, Of a World Class Arts in a World Class Community.
