OC Conference for Women
Spreadheaded by Newport Beach Councilwoman Leslie Daigle, Newport Beach was host to the Orange Country Conference for women on Sept. 14. Patterned after the California Governor's Conference for women, this event focused on the contributions of Orange Country women and celebrated the leadership role they have taken in a variety of areas in the community.
Approximately 400 women gathered at the Balboa Bay Club for a series of panel sessions and to hear
New York's first lady Libby Pataki's luncheon address. Among them, Jessica Goreman: "It's an exciting opportunity for women in Orange Country. It's a good opportunity to network.
"The women of the country of Orange are to be applauded and congratulated for making the conference a success, " Daigle says. "The leadership and talent was exciting to see. I know that I, and I'm sure others, will benifit from the relationship formed at the sessions."
